Position SummaryThis position is posted in compliance with Alabama Code §16-22-15. This position is intended to be filled by a transferring employee. The Dean of Business & Finance will serve as chief financial officer, and provide leadership and support in the areas of financial and auxiliary enterprises.
Salary: Appropriate placement on B: $104,973 - 149,416
(Salary within this range is determined by your documented years of full-time related work experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Provide leadership for Financial, Business Office and Auxiliary Services including the bookstore.
- Direct and coordinate the preparation of the College's annual budget, the annual audit and the annual financial plan.
- Create, update, and implement all policies and procedures related to the Division.
- Assess operational results, including benchmarking operations against peers and industry standards.
- Assess personnel performance and provide professional development opportunities to maintain relevancy and efficiency of staff.
- Lead staff develop and monitor goals and objectives for the departments.
- Ensure customer service and work quality expectations are defined and met, strive for best practices and innovations.
- Plan and lead improvement initiatives in assigned areas.
- Ensure compliance with institutional and Alabama Community College System policies and procedures.
- Communicate with the administration regularly; serve on and provide leadership to committees as assigned.
- Develop, monitor, and administer all budgets for the Division.
- Assist in development and implementation of plans to secure funding from state, federal, and private sources including government and industry grants and endowments.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships and partnerships with external stakeholders to promote the College and its programs.
- Maintain or increase competency by seeking new knowledge, improving skills, and updating professional competencies.
- Perform all duties with professionalism.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications - A minimum of a Bachelors degree in accounting or a related area from a accredited institution Is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years' of work experience in higher education fiscal services is required.
