Full Job Description
The Dean of the College of Education at Westcliff University reports directly to the Chief Academic Officer (CAO), Vice President of Academic Affairs and serves as the primary administrative officer of the college. This leader is responsible for driving strategic growth, fostering innovation, and advancing the college's national and international reputation. The Dean will provide visionary leadership to ensure academic excellence, industry relevance, and an exceptional student experience while actively promoting Westcliff's mission, values, and strategic goals.

Essential Job Functions

Strategic Leadership & Innovation:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan aligned with Westcliff University's vision, emphasizing growth through innovation, global engagement, and thought leadership.
  • Lead efforts to identify emerging business trends, market needs, and new program opportunities, ensuring the
  • college remains at the forefront of business education.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with industry leaders, business organizations, and academic institutions to enhance visibility, expand opportunities for students, and strengthen community engagement.
  • Serve as a thought leader and advocate for innovation in teaching methodologies, technology integration, and
  • program delivery models, including online and hybrid learning environments.

Academic Excellence
  • Oversee curriculum development, ensuring programs meet accreditation standards and incorporate cutting-edge content relevant to evolving business landscapes.
  • Promote faculty development initiatives, supporting excellence in teaching, scholarship, and research.
  • Foster a learning environment that encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and cross-cultural perspectives.

Operational & Fiscal Management
  • Manage and allocate financial resources strategically to support innovation, faculty research, and program expansion.
  • Lead data-driven assessment and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen academic programs and student outcomes.
  • Provide leadership in accreditation processes, compliance initiatives, and institutional reporting.

Community & External Relations
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with alumni, donors, and corporate partners to advance fundraising and development goals.
  • Champion the college's branding and marketing efforts to raise its profile regionally, nationally, and globally.
  • Establish advisory boards and stakeholder networks to inform program relevance and strengthen industry
