In this position...

Ford Credit is seeking to hire Loan Officers in our consumer auto-lending department.

Ford Credit Loan Officers analyze, investigate, and decision loan applications for the contiguous United States. Daily work includes call handling and loan application collaboration with Ford dealers and Lincoln retailers.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Analyze and decision automotive loan applications submitted to Ford Credit.
  • Understand divisional financing plans, programs, and requirements and practice steadfast adherence to policy and procedure.
  • Analyze applications to determine investigation needs, including for potential fraud or misrepresentation.
  • Promote the value of Ford Motor Company and Ford Credit products and services. Leverage relationships to effectively maintain consistent decisioning standards based on consumer/commercial credit indicators and key business metrics.
  • Maintain a sales and relationship mindset to ensure high levels of dealer and customer satisfaction - drive Dealer Satisfaction and Net Promoter Score (NPS) initiatives.
  • Support diversity initiatives by understanding, respecting, and valuing the differences that define employees as unique individuals.
  • Show team spirit by respecting the needs of others, offering to help, and having flexibility by joining in team efforts to work during our busiest times (holidays and sales events).

Qualifications

You'll have...
  • Bachelor of Business Administration or related business degree.
  • Basic understanding of consumer and/or commercial credit, financial analysis, sales, collections, caring for customers, and relationship management.
  • Proficient computer skills, including the ability to utilize core applications within the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining high level of organization and time management.
  • Analytical and quick decision-making skills, independently identifying and implementing solutions to problems and overcoming challenges.
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly adapt communication style and approach, as appropriate.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule Monday-Friday, which includes some evenings, holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
  • Ability/willingness to travel as needed - generally no more than one to two weeks per year.
  • Applicants need to be willing to fulfill employment obligations in a hybrid work environment, that includes working from home. When working from home, employees need reliable, high-speed internet connectivity and a quiet space with minimal distractions or interruptions.

  • Applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance of our office in Nashville, TN.
  • We consider the following to be within a reasonable commuting distance of our Nashville, TN office: Franklin, Brentwood, Spring Hill, Columbia, Fairview, Hendersonville, Mt. Juliet, and Murfreesboro.

Work location qualification...

**This is a hybrid in-office and at-home position. The standard schedule is four days a week working in our Nashville, TN office and one day a week working from home. There are times where temporary adjustments will be made to the standard schedule and the standard schedule is subject to change.

This position is a salary grade 5 and ranges from $65,100-$109,300.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
