Full Job Description
ABSC is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Database Specialist who will perform duties in support of the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Army Security Office (ASO) Army Research and Technology Protection Center (ARTPC).

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Active Top-Secret Level Clearance with SCI Access. Clearance, Access and Investigation must appear in DISS and be within scope (5 • Years).

LOCATION:
90% on site in Metro Park, VA, 10% on site in Linthicum, MD (travel reimbursed)

BACKGROUND:
The U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Army Security Office (ASO) Army Research and Technology Protection Center (ARTPC) Support Services has initiated this effort to provide support in the development of security related documentation to include Science & Technology Protection Plans (S&T PP) and Program Protection Plans (PPPs), critical technology reviews, and threat/mitigation plans that utilize a systematic approach to technology protection, intelligence analysis, and multi- discipline security specialist support to provide risk mitigation across the Army to protect Army personnel, facilities, infrastructure, networks and national security information.

The United States research laboratories, engineering centers, and defense industrial base are developing the advanced technology that will form the heart of the Army's future fighting force. Foreign Governments and companies that both use and sell military systems will go to great lengths to acquire the advanced technologies that dominate future warfare. Identification and protection of those technologies is essential to the Army's mission and ability to fight and win when those systems are fielded. When foreign Governments and companies illegally acquire knowledge of the U.S. advanced technologies it is also essential that the Army understand the effect of that compromise. The Army must have an integrated Research and Technology Program (RTP), Security, Cyber Incident Damage Assessment (CIDA) program, and Modernization Security Protection (MSP) with the ability to perform these critical missions with a high degree of confidence of success.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, test, maintain, and operate a database/spreadsheet to support CIDA case management, metrics, and reporting, and provide matrix on the CIDA workload.
  • Develop, maintain, and update the customer tracking database and provide metrics on the status of all programs supported (i.e., program milestone, S&T PP status, PPP status, type, and number of surveys and/or assessments conducted, etc.).

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or comparable degree in the Information Technology (IT) field.
  • Six (6) years of experience of Operations support.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.
  • Working knowledge using Power BI and SharePoint.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Additional certifications in IT programs related to experience are preferred but not required.
  • Recommended certifications for the SQL database developer role are the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Data Platform or the Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional.
  • Experience writing functions and procedures in MS Access and Visual Basic is preferred.

Salary is commensurate with experience. An approximate salary range: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00.
