This role works directly with VDC, project, fabrication, and field users to understand what the systems need to do, define functional requirements, and turn those requirements into dependable BIM and CAD-MEP tools.
The primary duty of this position is the analysis, design, development, documentation, testing, and modification of BIM, CAD-MEP, Revit, fabrication database, automation, and reporting systems. This is a systems and automation role.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities- Meet with VDC, project management, fabrication, and field users to gather requirements and define functional specifications for BIM, CAD-MEP, Revit, ACC, automation, and reporting workflows.
- Design, develop, document, analyze, test, and modify CAD-MEP and Revit data systems, including fabrication databases, Revit family libraries, content standards, and data exchange workflows.
- Build, test, and maintain Dynamo scripts and related automation tools used for QA/QC, model data management, coordination checks, reporting, and workflow cleanup.
- Develop and maintain prototypes, templates, scripts, and standardized workflows that improve model-to-fabrication alignment and make project data easier to use.
- Analyze database, model, and workflow problems; identify root causes; and modify systems, scripts, content, or procedures to correct issues and prevent repeat errors.
- Develop, test, and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models, and reports that convert BIM and fabrication data into practical project and production information.
