Program OverviewThe Army National Guard (ARNG) Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support (ENOCS) program delivers comprehensive enterprise IT infrastructure, WAN, cybersecurity, and associated services to the ARNG and its mission partners. The program supports more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 sites spanning 54 states and territories, enabling Title 10 and Title 32 missions, domestic emergency response operations, mobilization readiness, and classified SIPRNet operations.
Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.Task 7 - Enterprise Architecture (EA) - provides architecture governance, data management, and IT planning services that ensure ARNG's enterprise systems and infrastructure remain structurally aligned with current and future mission objectives. This task area oversees infrastructure architecture, network design, capacity planning, policy and compliance, and DoDAF viewpoint development, supporting the ARNG G6's ability to make sound, architecture-driven decisions for the modernization and consolidation of its enterprise IT environment
Position SummaryECS is seeking a Database Engineer - Journeyman to support the Army National Guard (ARNG) ENOCS program by ensuring the stability and integrity of enterprise database systems. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing database performance, contributing to the overall mission readiness of ARNG IT infrastructure. This position involves executing database installation and maintenance tasks, collaborating with senior engineers to implement data models, and ensuring compliance with Army cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems.
- Implement approved data models and schema updates under senior guidance.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure operational stability.
- Manage user access controls in compliance with Army cybersecurity policies.
- Support database backup, recovery, and patching activities.
- Document configurations and procedures for development, test, and production environments.
- Ensure data integrity across various ARNG enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical database operations.
Required Qualifications- Clearance: Secret Eligible required
- S. Citizenship required
- DoD 8140.03 Compliance: DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 421-Database Administrator at the Basic proficiency level
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Minimum of 27 years of experience in DoD program management and IT project management
- Proven track record in managing complex federal contracts exceeding $200M
- Experience leading cross-functional teams of over 300 professionals
- Demonstrated success in delivering technical solutions across multiple DoD divisions
