Job Description:

Quevera is seeking a Database Engineer III (MongoDB) with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support mission-critical programs in Hanover, MD.

As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, you'll help modernize enterprise security by developing advanced database solutions that support automation, continuous monitoring, and streamlined authorization processes. Working in a collaborative Agile environment, you'll lead the design and development of cloud-enabled database architectures, backend services, and enterprise data solutions that support critical national security missions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Direct the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of complex enterprise database solutions supporting secure mission systems.
  • Lead database architecture efforts utilizing cloud methodologies for information storage, retrieval, data flow, and data analysis.
  • Direct the development and maintenance of database structures that align with the overall system architecture.
  • Design and implement new workflows to automate existing manual processes while supporting ongoing break/fix requests and system enhancements.
  • Lead the development of database structures, database parser software, and database loading solutions.
  • Develop and support Python-based RESTful API endpoints and backend microservices.
  • Utilize Django and/or Flask frameworks to develop scalable data management capabilities.
  • Design and support enterprise database solutions leveraging MongoDB and related technologies.
  • Develop services that securely exchange data using JSON and XML serialization.
  • Direct technical efforts throughout the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design through implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams within an Agile software development environment.

Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
  • Five (5) years of experience as a Database Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • An additional five (5) years of Database Engineer experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience developing applications using Python.
  • Hands-on experience administering and supporting MongoDB.
  • Experience developing applications using Django and/or Flask.
  • Experience developing RESTful API endpoints.
  • Experience designing and developing microservices.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise database architecture, schema design, and data modeling.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
    • Swagger / OpenAPI
    • AWS, C2S, or other cloud platforms
    • Docker
    • Visual Studio Code or similar Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)
    • JSON and/or XML serialization
    • Jira
    • Confluence
    • Git version control
    • Agile software development methodologies
