Full Job Description
Summary: We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to manage and maintain all production and non-production databases. In this role, you will be responsible for the standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration. You will perform backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configure database parameters, and work on prototype designs against logical data models. Additionally, you will define data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehousing needs to ensure optimal database performance and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain production and non-production databases.
  • Design physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration.
  • Perform backup and recovery on Database Management Systems.
  • Configure database parameters and prototype designs against logical data models.
  • Define data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehousing requirements.
  • Optimize database access and allocate/re-allocate database resources for optimal configuration and performance.
  • Support multiple services and multiple databases of medium to high complexity.
  • Ensure control, integrity, and accessibility of data across various platforms.
  • Work on multiple projects as a project leader or advisor.
  • Coach junior technical staff as needed.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with various database management systems in design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and administration.
  • Experience working in a multiple platform environment with medium to high complexity databases.
  • Proven ability to manage and optimize database resources effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
