Full Job Description
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time Data Transformation Branch Chief, GG-2210-14, located at the Knowledge Management and Information Management Branch at Offutt AFB, Bellevue, NE.

Salary Range: $125,000 - 142,000

This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) Personnel System position aligned under authorities of Section 1599f, of Title 10, Chapter 81 United States Code and DOD Instruction 1400.25-V3007.

Required 3-year probationary period for new Federal government appointments.

CES applies and documents Veterans' Preference IAW Department of Defense (DoDI) 1400.25, Volume 3005.

In this position, you will serve as a supervisor, guiding and directing the Command Knowledge and Information Management Branch to enhance Command-wide collaboration efforts by employing state-of-the-art concepts and techniques to enable delivery of exquisite knowledge to decision makers at the precise moment of need.

This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program

Expert knowledge of and skill in the analysis of military information systems, their interaction, and their impact on global combatant command operations.

Expert knowledge of a wide range of IT principles and systems analysis concepts and techniques, new and emerging information technologies, security methods and principles, technological advances, to apply internet technologies to analyze networks and the related security aspects and predict how management can meet future requirements.

Knowledge of customers' business processes and operations to anticipate and refine functional requirements.

Knowledge of design tools, methods, and techniques as well as life cycle management concepts, cost benefit analysis, system architecture, integration techniques, and testing methods.

Cyberspace Qualification is a condition of employment. This position includes Cyberspace work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoDM 8140.03, para 4.2.a.(2)., requires foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role and resident qualification requirements within 12 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role. A waiver of these requirements may be granted per DoDM 8140.03. Failure to achieve and maintain the proper Cyberspace Qualification may result in removal from this position.

Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DOD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six month requirement may be granted per DOD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
