As a Data Test Engineer, you'll impact on the lives of everyday people and help them go from surviving to thriving with innovative digital personal finance solutions. The Data Test Engineer will serve as the dedicated quality assurance partner supporting a dynamic team of engineers across lending data microservices and daily data jobs. This critical role ensures the absolute integrity of both application-facing functional data and business intelligence reporting used for strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include executing robust testing on code and services, with a strong focus on utilizing tools like RestAssured or Unirest. Ultimately, the position requires a collaborative professional who can seamlessly bridge the gap between technical engineering teams and business-driven value.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
  • Deep understanding of JavaScript automation framework and/or iOS/Android automation frameworks highly desired.
  • Ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams and ability to multitask on multiple products and projects.
  • Have a multiplier effect on the team. Constant training and upbringing the team.
  • Ability to delegate to other team members
  • Ability to understand system architecture and infrastructure
  • Ability to bring cutting edge technologies, new processes for the betterment of the team.
  • Experience in communicating with other technical teams and on big initiatives and end to end testing.
  • Strong sense of ownership and, urgency, and drive
  • Set up best practices, coding guidelines, tools and other processes which would help team be more productive
  • Encourage healthy discussions within the team and facilitate decision making.

Preferred Tools & Technical Expertise:
  • Experience with API testing tools and frameworks such as RestAssured and/or Unirest
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript-based UI automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO)
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as TestRail and JIRA
  • Experience monitoring and validating systems using Datadog
  • Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially in environments leveraging cloud-native services.

  • Minimum 2 years programming experience with JavaScript, NodeJS, Java, Spring Boot, Python
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).

We are proudly offering hybrid options in the Phoenix, AZ and San Francisco, CA metro markets. We offer remote work in other select cities/states.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 + bonus + benefits.
