Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Solutions Technology Director. As a Technology Director, you will lead a team responsible for delivering strategic technology and data capabilities that support some of the organization's most critical business priorities. You will define technology strategy, build and develop high-performing engineering teams, and drive the design and delivery of scalable, resilient, and secure solutions. This role requires a leader who can operate at both strategic and operational levels. You will partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to shape product roadmaps, modernize platforms, advance artificial intelligence and automation capabilities, and accelerate the adoption of modern engineering practices. You will be accountable for technology outcomes, talent development, delivery excellence, operational stability, and continuous innovation. In this role, you will:

• Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads
• Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities
• Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
• Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
• Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices
• Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers
• Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
• Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
• Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
• Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
• Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
• Lead team to achieve objectives
• Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
• Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
• Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 4+ years of management or leadership experience
• 5+ years expertise in data modeling, warehousing, and Lakehouse architectures
• 5+ years' experience Own data quality, lineage, governance, and observability frameworks
• 4+ years experience in streaming + event-driven architectures for large-scale financial data
• 4+ years' experience driving data re-engineering, system decomposition, and modernization initiatives (
  

Desired Qualifications:

• Tools: Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse, BigQuery
• Lead legacy-to-cloud data platform migrations
• Deep expertise in AWS / Azure / GCP (Data Lakes, Warehouses, Compute, Storage)

Job Expectations:

• Must be based in one of the above locations or willing to relocate.
• This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule, 3 days onsite.

• This position will require onsite presence in a hybrid arrangement
