Job Description:Parsons is seeking an innovative Senior Data Scientist to join our Joint Staff Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) team. In this role, you will drive the development and deployment of advanced analytics and AI/ML solutions to support Department of Defense mission objectives across Joint Staff Directorates.
What You'll Be Doing:- Design, develop, and operationalize predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and advanced analytics to solve mission-critical DoD use cases
- Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and statistical analysis using large, complex datasets from diverse sources
- Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and mission stakeholders to define requirements and deliver impactful solutions
- Deploy, monitor, and sustain AI/ML models in secure DoD environments, ensuring performance and compliance with DoD standards
- Visualize and communicate analytical results to senior leaders, supporting operational decision-making and strategic planning
- Lead and mentor junior data scientists, fostering innovation and best practices in model development and analytics
What Required Skills You'll Bring:- Active TS/SCI security clearance at the time of hire
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics roles
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages for statistical analysis and model development
- Experience developing and deploying AI/ML models, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques
- Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance in federal/DoD environments
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:- Experience with Palantir Foundry, Microsoft Mission Support Systems (MSS), Qlik, Databricks, War Data Platform (WDP), or Advana
- Proficiency with Power Platform or Power Apps for integrating analytics with decision workflows
- Advanced visualization skills using tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI
- Familiarity with cloud analytics platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and scalable model deployment
- Experience supporting operational DoD analytics, AI/ML, or data-driven mission applications
- Advanced degree or certifications in data science, machine learning, or cloud analytics
- Leadership experience mentoring data science teams or managing analytics projects
Security Clearance Requirement:An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
