Full Job Description
TaxAct is currently seeking an accomplished Data Scientist & Revenue Analyst Analyst to drive revenue optimization efforts across the organization. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Analytics, with a key focus on building, implementing, and analyzing models that enhance revenue generation. This dynamic position will require you to blend your expertise in data science and analytics with project management skills, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine models aimed at increasing revenue, ranging from simple predictive models to complex data science algorithms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement models in production, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as a project manager for model implementation, coordinating efforts across teams to meet deadlines and ensure successful execution.
  • Make business cases detailing the expected impact and cost of these data projects, and prioritize accordingly.
  • Analyze the impact of implemented models, providing actionable insights to enhance future strategies.
  • Conduct deep dives into revenue performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
  • Work closely with business partners to translate data insights into actionable strategies that drive business value.
  • Prepare and present findings to stakeholders, including executive management, in a clear and concise manner.
  • Utilize advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) to support business decisions and communicate complex data in an easily digestible format.
  • Maintain a proactive mindset with a hands-on approach, ready to dive into details and challenge conventional approaches.


Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Business Analytics, Operations Research, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong foundation in data science and/statistics
  • Strong experience in developing revenue optimization models, with a proven track record of driving measurable results.
  • Experience building Data Science models in Python and R
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to completion, coordinating across teams and delivering on time.
  • Proficiency in analyzing large datasets of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to uncover insights.
  • Expertise in SQL for complex queries and dashboard creation, supporting both ad-hoc analysis and long-term monitoring.
  • Advanced skills in data visualization (e.g., Tableau), capable of creating dashboards that inform and influence business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels.
