The Data Scientist Research supports the department by developing and applying advanced analytical, statistical, machine learning, and artificial intelligence solutions across clinical, research, and operational initiatives. This role works with diverse and complex data sources to deliver actionable insights that inform decision-making. Responsibilities span the full data science lifecycle, including data engineering, predictive modeling, and the application of emerging technologies. The Data Scientist translates complex data into clear, evidence-based findings through rigorous analysis, reproducible workflows, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities span the full data science lifecycle, including data engineering, predictive modeling, and the application of emerging technologies. The Data Scientist translates complex data into clear, evidence-based findings through rigorous analysis, reproducible workflows, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Job Duties
  • Execute data extraction, transformation, and analysis leveraging industry-standard programming languages and analytic tools
  • Design, develop, and validate statistical and machine learning models to support predictive and inferential analyses
  • Synthesize descriptive, inferential, and modeling results to generate actionable insights across clinical, operational, and research domains
  • Prepare and present analytic deliverables — including reports, visualizations, dashboards, and manuscripts — communicating findings clearly to diverse stakeholder audiences
  • Apply emerging artificial intelligence technologies, including large language models, to enhance analytical workflows and support data-driven decision making

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree Computer science
  • 2 years Research analysis and
  • 3 years Experience in SAS or Python

Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate Concentration in AI preferred
  • 1 year Coding or use of AI

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
