SOSi is seeking a
Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will leverage statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization techniques to extract actionable insights from complex data sets. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams to drive data-driven decision making.
Essential Job Duties
- Analyze large, complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems.
- Design and implement A/B tests to evaluate the impact of changes and initiatives.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data engineers to improve data collection, quality, and access
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor key metrics and outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data science techniques, tools, and best practices.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a data science, analytics, or related role.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis.
- Experience with SQL and working with relational databases.
- Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and data modeling.
- Ability to clearly present complex data to stakeholders.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, Seaborn).
Additional InformationWork Environment- Work is on-site at the El Paso SOSi location
- Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary
- Shift work is required as this is 24/ 7/ 365 days a year operational environment
- Must be able to work any assigned shift
- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and pressure
- Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment
