OverviewVTG is looking for a Data Scientist in Chantilly, VA. Data Scientist III independently performs data analysis and modeling to support mission outcomes, providing actionable insights to government and program leadership.
What will you do?- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Develop and apply statistical models or machine learning techniques as appropriate
- Design and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and analytic products
- Translate mission or business questions into analytic approaches and outputs
- Validate data quality, assumptions, and model results
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support integration of analytics into operational or decision-support workflows
Do you have what it takes?- TS/SCI with Poly Required
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in data analytics or data science roles
- Strong proficiency with Python or R and SQL
- Experience with statistical analysis, modeling, or machine learning techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting IC, DoD, or DOJ mission programs, Experience working with operational, intelligence, or enterprise data, Familiarity with cloud-based analytics environments, Experience with Agile delivery environments
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $105,000 - $230,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
