Overview

The position:

Lead and analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Have strong predictive, statistical modeling skills. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. Provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues. Directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.

Responsibilities

What We're looking for:
  • Modeling & Applied Statistics Build out predictive Machine Learning (ML) modeling using R and Python that harnesses customer and competitive analysis data to spot emerging trends and areas of opportunity, utilizes highly complex statistical modeling to make predictions about future outcomes and in multiple scenarios.
  • Help with building big data deployment infrastructure, expert in building Data Sources that can scale to handle huge data volume.
  • Sound knowledge in ETL and Data Warehouse concepts, experience with AWS cloud-based platform.
  • Employ the established Data Governance model including people, process, and technology to sustain Data Quality for the data objects and implement the necessary operating mechanisms to ensure compliance.
  • Build fault tolerant, self-healing, adaptive and highly accurate data computational and analytic processing applications.
  • Enthusiastic and principled about finding and applying the best practices related to dimension modelling and Bigdata analytics.
  • Programing Develops and/or uses algorithms and ML prescriptive models and determines analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes.
  • Applies analytical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data, using advanced statistical techniques such as predictive statistical models, customer profiling, segmentation analysis, survey design and analysis and data mining.
  • Partner with business process experts and owners to build BI and leading indicators of operational benchmarks.
  • Work with cross-functional team to perform process & data analysis, identifying systems of record (SoR) and/or Single Point of Truth (SPOT), defining the Power Plant Configuration solutions & application architecture and deployment.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience working with AWS Cloud or similar environments and tools for Data Science, AI and ML
  • Ability to deploy ML models to production environment.
  • Ability to take ambiguous sets of data and decipher meaning to tell a story or business case that drives business decisions is required.
  • Should be strong in AWS suite.
  • Strong predictive, statistical modeling skills.
  • Strong ability to communicate both written and verbally to internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work independently with business users and cross functional leaders.
  • Ability to solve for higher ambiguity using data science.
  • Strong ability to create and deliver effective presentations to multiple audiences.
  • Advanced expertise using data analytic software such as R, Python, SQL.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft productivity tools: Excel, Word, and Visio and other software is necessary.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Extract Transform Load (ETL), Data Architecture preferred.
  • Ability to mentor junior data scientists and colleagues.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Engineering, Analytics, or Information Management is required. (Masters in Analytics preferred)
  • 5+ years equivalent experience in modeling, forecasting, data analytics.
  • 2+ years' experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) or other cloud.
  • Open-source AI experience preferred.
  • Data Science Certifications Preferred.
  • Certified in AWS Cloud Preferred

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

May require travel up to 5% of the time to domestic and/or international locations.

The salary range of $119,000 to $200,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum.
