The Opportunity:

CACI at Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is looking for a Data Scientist to expand our maintenance detection algorithms for Boeing F/A-18 aircrafts. Your expertise will enhance the Navy's F/A-18 fleet readiness by developing case studies and anomaly detection algorithms for aircraft maintenance actions.

Responsibilities:
  • Gather, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various aircraft sensors, maintenance logs, and operational data.
  • Write clean, efficient, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards to ensure maintainability and long-term performance of applications.
  • Preform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in aircraft performance and maintenance data.
  • Design and implement anomaly detection algorithms to identify unusual behaviors in aircraft data.
  • Develop machine learning models to detect component failures or malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with Aerospace Engineers, Software Engineers, Maintenance Personnel, and other project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years of job experience.
  • Strong knowledge of MATLAB and Python.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen, and able to obtain a DoD Secret Clerance.
