Full Job Description
The Doctors Company is seeking a Senior Data Products & Decision Intelligence Engineer to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity preferably located at our office in New York City, or any other TDC Group or ProAssurance office location.

The Data Products Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and supporting governed data products, analytics solutions, and AI-enabled workflows that improve business outcomes across underwriting, claims, patient safety, and enterprise operations. This role operates as a forward deployed engineer working directly with stakeholders to understand business needs, develop practical solutions, and deliver reliable, scalable, and measurable business capabilities with an AI Ontology platform.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience developing, implementing, and supporting data, analytics, software engineering, or enterprise technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

Forward Deployed Engineering & Solution Delivery
  • Develop and support production data products and business solutions that address priority operational needs.
  • Work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Translate business problems into practical, scalable technical solutions.
  • Participate actively in solution design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

Data Products, Analytics & AI Enablement
  • Build and maintain governed analytical datasets, reusable data products, and decision-support assets.
  • Support business intelligence, analytics, AI, and machine learning initiatives through reliable data foundations.
  • Contribute to operationalization of workflows, dashboards, models, and business-facing applications.
  • Assist with user adoption, feedback collection, and continuous improvement of delivered capabilities.

Enterprise Integration & Data Engineering
  • Develop and support integrations across enterprise platforms, application systems, and data sources.
  • Build and maintain scalable pipelines, transformation processes, and operational data flows.
  • Support enterprise modernization initiatives and implementation of reusable integration patterns.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for data sources, transformations, dependencies, and support processes.

Engineering Excellence, Governance & Reliability
  • Follow established software engineering, DataOps, CI/CD, testing, and deployment practices.
  • Implement data quality controls, validation processes, monitoring, and issue resolution routines.
  • Support lineage, governance, compliance, auditability, and security requirements for sensitive data.
  • Contribute to platform stability, observability, supportability, and operational excellence.

Other duties as assigned
  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, peer learning, and engineering process improvement activities.
  • Develop expertise across data, analytics, AI, and enterprise business domains.
  • Participate in various projects to meet TDCG business objectives and provide updates to leadership on assigned projects, as necessary.


Salary Range: $103,791 - $140,068. Compensation varies based on skills, knowledge, and education. We consider factors such as specialized skills, depth of knowledge in the field, and educational background to ensure fair and competitive pay.
