Data Product Manager
About the role
As a Date Product Manager, you’ll play a key role in making high-quality, trusted data accessible across the organization. Your work will enable better decisions, improve client outcomes, and support scalable, enterprise-wide data solutions. You’ll collaborate with teammates across engineering, analytics, and business functions to build data products that are reliable, well-governed, and designed for real-world impact.
Core Responsibilities
Own strategic product leadership for a family of master and reference data products, with end00accountability for vision, roadmap, and value delivery across the data lifecycle (ingestion, modeling, quality, orchestration, storage, and consumption).
Define and evolve the target00architecture and operating model for MDM and RDM, guiding maturity progression across domains while balancing governance, scalability, usability, and speed.
Lead cross00functional alignment across data engineering, analytics engineering, platform, governance, and business teams to set and operationalize enterprise standards for data modeling, data quality frameworks, data contracts, and lifecycle ownership.
Translate complex and often ambiguous business needs into cohesive portfolio00level roadmaps, sequencing initiatives based on risk and business impact.
Maintain strong technical credibility through hands00on SQL and data analysis when needed, while primarily operating at a system00level view across multiple interdependent data products.
Oversee resolution of complex, cross00product production issues, driving root cause analysis and durable remediation for data quality defects, pipeline failures, and downstream analytics breakages.
Establish and continuously improve data product delivery practices including portfolio backlog management, dependency orchestration, CI/CD for data pipelines, observability, and data freshness monitoring.
Drive adoption, trust, and consistency of master and reference data across operational systems, analytics, and reporting by improving discoverability, reliability, and clarity of ownership.
Influence enterprise planning and investment decisions by representing data product risk, technical constraints, and long00term sustainability in senior stakeholder forums.
What we’re looking for
QualificationsUndergraduate degree required; advanced degree or equivalent hands00on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related disciplines preferred.
8+ years of experience in data product management, data engineering, analytics, or closely related roles.
Proven experience owning product vision and roadmaps across multiple, interdependent data products or domains.
Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross00functional initiatives and operate effectively in high00complexity, high00ambiguity environments.
Strong technical fluency in data architectures, data modeling, SQL00based analysis, pipeline orchestration, and data quality frameworks and management.
