Daikin Applied is seeking a talented Data Product Manager. The Data Product Manager will lead the strategy, development and lifecycle of data driven. Products that empower business decision making. This role bridges the gap between technical & business stakeholders, translating complex data needs into actionable product features. This role combines strong product management skills with deep understanding of data platforms, analytics and user centric design. The role will define product roadmaps, prioritize features, ensure data quality and compliance and drive adoption of data solutions across the organization. What you will do:

Product Ownership & Management
  • Develop and own vision, roadmap and success metrics for data products, aligned with business goals
  • Strategic liaison between business stakeholders, data engineering & analytics teams to develop product roadmaps, prioritize features, manage backlog and oversee the delivery of the roadmap
  • Identify opportunities and Prioritize data product features and enhancements based on impacts, roi and feasibility
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle - from ideation and prototyping to deployment & Iteration
  • Provide periodic readout to product leaders and senior leaders on progress


Drive Adoption, user enablement & value delivery
  • Work closely with data engineers, analyst, business stakeholders, governance teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and user stories
  • Use Insights to iterate on product features and improve user satisfaction
  • Define & enforce standards for data accuracy, completeness and consistency
  • Support User onboarding & product adoption


Develop Best Practices & Data Product Paybook
  • Champion the value of data as a product across the organization
  • Develop, facilitate & maintain Data flow diagrams as data product playbook evolves
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability and innovation in data management
  • Develop and maintain data product playbook based on learnings
  • Develop (as needed) and operationalize 'end to end' operating model for data product enablement
  • Advocate for data product thinking & data driven culture across the organization


Problem Solving & Critical Thinking
  • Able to provide high level analysis using data for ROI, KPIs and impact analysis
  • Understand business gaps, problem statements and develop high level data driven solution


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years in product management in data platforms, data analysis, business analysis or relevant experience
  • Strong product management experience leading data discovery, shaping data products requirement, define user stories (in partnership with business) using agile product development & DevOps practices
  • Experience building product and features roadmap with details with timelines and execution plan. Partner with PMO and business stakeholders to ensure product & feature development is on track
  • Experience with articulating and mapping data product benefits to business outcome and ROI
  • Proficient in data manipulation techniques to data rollups, explore data insights, validate assumptions
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) and Agile practices
  • Familiarity with platforms like Databricks, AWS Synapse, Sigma & Atlan
  • Proficient with product lifecycle, road mapping, backlog management & agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa; BRM skill set
  • Experience working with CRM, ERP systems
  • Familiarity with Data governance & security practices

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years of experience in Data Product Management, Business analysis (Data products)
  • Experience with Oracle EBS, SAP, Salesforce systems
  • Certified Data Product Manager
  • Familiarity with Data Lakehouse Architecture
  • Familiarity with Data Product Marketplace enablement best practices.
  • Passion for staying on the cutting edge of data and AI technology

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,000 - $188,000 (+ 20-25% bonus) in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
