Full Job Description
The Data Platform Analyst serves as a critical operational partner within our modern cloud data ecosystem, helping ensure analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders can effectively access, utilize, and trust our enterprise data platforms.

This role sits at the intersection of Analytics, Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security teams. The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and data platform experience with a passion for operational excellence, troubleshooting, access management, and user enablement. This individual will play a key role in supporting Databricks and Azure-based analytics environments, helping maintain secure access models, resolving platform-related issues, documenting operational processes, and improving overall platform reliability and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Access & Governance
  • Lead analytics user access administration across Databricks, Azure, SQL Server, and related analytics platforms.
  • Partner with Infrastructure and Security teams to design, implement, and maintain secure role-based access models.
  • Support governance initiatives by documenting and improving access controls, permissions structures, and operational procedures.
  • Assist in auditing and maintaining appropriate access levels across analytics environments.


Platform Operations & User Enablement
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for analytics users experiencing platform-related challenges.
  • Investigate and coordinate resolution of issues involving data access, platform functionality, user permissions, data quality concerns, and analytics tooling.
  • Support platform adoption and self-service analytics initiatives through user support and enablement activities.
  • Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, support processes, and knowledge articles.


Data Platform Support
  • Partner with Data Engineering, DBA, and Platform Engineering teams to troubleshoot data replication, data flow, and platform-related issues.
  • Coordinate change requests and support activities impacting analytics platforms and data consumers.
  • Document data flows, replication processes, and platform dependencies to improve operational efficiency and supportability.
  • Assist with monitoring platform utilization and identifying opportunities for platform improvement.


Cloud Platform Optimization
  • Support cloud cost monitoring, reporting, and optimization efforts across analytics platforms.
  • Partner with platform leadership to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Participate in platform operations reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.


Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with analytics teams, engineers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve platform challenges.
  • Translate technical issues and platform concepts into clear business-friendly communication.
  • Support backlog management and operational prioritization activities with platform leadership.


Priority will be given to candidate who reside in the Columbus, OH metropolitan area.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Data Platform Support
    • Data Operations
    • Analytics Platform Support
    • Technical Business Analysis
    • Business Systems Analysis
    • Data Governance
    • Data Engineering Support
  • Strong SQL (5+ years) skills with experience querying and troubleshooting enterprise data environments.
  • Experience supporting modern data platforms such as Databricks, SQL Server, Snowflake, Azure, or similar technologies.
  • Experience investigating, troubleshooting, and coordinating resolution of technical platform issues.
  • Ability to understand and document technical processes, data flows, access models, and operational procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Databricks and Azure analytics environments.
  • Experience with access management, role-based security, identity administration, or governance processes.
  • Experience with analytics platform administration and user enablement.
  • Familiarity with data replication, ETL processes, and enterprise data architecture.
  • Experience monitoring and optimizing cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Experience supporting Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Experience working within Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Platform Operations organizations.
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
