- Responsible for monitoring, supporting and management of applications running in production including managing and correcting issues and providing break-fix operation support.
- Drive all stages of the SDLC development process, providing input to the Development teams including designing, building, and testing. Develop useful tools such as internal software to automate key processes or platforms where customers can send inquiries and reviews. Troubleshoots technical issues.
- Analyze analysis of available data and find the root cause of the problem. Develop technical solutions by providing problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner and explain and interpret complex, difficult, or sensitive information. Provide users with progress updates.
- Prepare extensive documentation when logging into product issues including observations, diagnoses, and action steps. Generate weekly reports summarizing production performance, release notes for upgrades, and troubleshooting guides.
- Take a new perspective on existing solutions to solve problems of moderate to high complexity and exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Lead small data engineering projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; play significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives.
Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field.
- Must have 3 years of experience in application development and/or production support positions performing/utilizing the following:
- In-depth knowledge of data technologies, including ETL, Data warehouse, Databases, SAS and other Analytics tools.
- Planning and managing IT projects
- Knowledge of ITIL processes
- Utilizing experience with: Mainframe zOS, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, DB2, Stored Procedures, UNIX, SQL, Easytrieve, Changeman, Endevor, CA7, SPUFI, File Manager, IBM Debugger, Fault Analyzer, Agile Methodology, REXX, Ansible, Dynatrace, SCOM, Splunk, and Kenna Tool.
- Position may be eligible to work in a hybrid remote model and is based out of and reports to Truist offices in Richmond, VA. Applicants must be able to work onsite at Truist offices in Richmond, VA at least 4 days per week.
