JOB DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Discover and drive the documentation of logical and physical data lineage for the CIB Payments organization, from the point of creation to ultimate data consumption, in support of critical regulatory requirements and programs such as BCBS 239. Partner with operations, technology, and product organizations to document and challenge data controls across the data lineage for critical data flows. Build strong partnerships across CIB Payments and corporate functions to support data-related efforts. Accelerate data analysis and issue resolution through effective program governance, process and data mapping, and data deep-dives. Support the adoption and implementation of Data Owner and Data Governance roles and responsibilities, as required and tracked via firmwide data governance metrics. Coordinate across multiple teams and levels to expedite complex deliverables. Provide advisory services on specific high-profile data initiatives through focused project management and in-depth business analysis. Provide direction and mentorship to junior team members in executing data governance and data management-related efforts. Create presentations and run effective meetings to expedite progress and quality of deliveries, and to assist in delivering consistent messages to partners, stakeholders, and regulators.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Data Management, Audit Manager, Advisory Manager, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Science, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Data Management, Audit Manager, Advisory Manager, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Financial services, data analytics, data management, and project management; Data governance, data quality, data lineage, and metadata management concepts; Program management and driving delivery of multi-million-dollar complex data programs focused on data quality, lineage, controls and metadata management; Developing and implementing pragmatic process operating models across multiple departments; Identifying and implementing automated solutions to accelerate program deliverables; Leading cross-functional workshops to define key data elements (KDEs), map business processes to technical data flows, and integrate lineage metadata with enterprise data catalogs; Working with stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority across Corporate/Firmwide, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams up to the firmwide committee level; Leading workshops to resolve regulatory ambiguity, facilitate stakeholder consensus, and author technical documentation on best practices for data controls and lineage; Interpreting and operationalizing complex regulatory requirements including BCBS 239, translating principles into actionable data lineage, control, and reporting frameworks across global business lines.
