We are looking for an experienced, collaborative, and dynamic Data Management and Enterprise Analytics Director to lead the ongoing development and support of enterprise solutions for (i) data warehousing, (ii) enterprise analytics, (iii) integrations across our enterprise transaction systems (Workday, Salesforce, and SharePoint), and (iv) data collection and migration strategies generally.
Job Description

This position is responsible managing a team for the assessment of business requirements, collection and identification of technical specifications, and the subsequent configuration and / or development of technology solutions to enable efficient role - based access to a robust self - service analytics environment.

The Data Management and Enterprise Analytics Director will also be responsible for:

• Developing technology specifications and ensuring that solutions are designed for optimal access and usefulness, leveraging our enterprise technology toolset (SQL Server 2014, Informatica, PowerBI, Business Objects) wherever possible.
• Applying architectural and engineering concepts to design a solution that meets operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability.
• Identifying the technologies to employ based on price, performance, service agreements, and organization constraints.

Responsibilities

Primary role will be to establish foundation for a team that will be the enterprise resource for coordinating data utilization across the firm, including

• Aligning data dependencies across systems of record.
• Making that data available to internal and external systems.
• Enabling world class security standards.
• Exposing enterprise data resources in a way that facilitates robust role - based analytics.

The Data Management and Enterprise Analytics Director is a member of the Information Technology Services Senior Management Team and will work alongside 3 other team leaders (Networks and Security Director, Programs Director, and the Vice President, ITS Services) reporting to Chief Information Officer in establishing a roadmap for enterprise data management.

Additional Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a Data Management and Enterprise Analytics team.
• Lead requirements gathering for ETL, integration, and enterprise analytics needs.
• Serve as a key liaison with other Information Technology Services Teams and the business.
• Manage direct reports to prioritize and catalogue Data Management and Enterprise Analytics workload; and Formalize support process for the Data Management and Enterprise Analytics team.
• Establishes processes for management of Data Management and Enterprise Analytics systems design, and requirements throughout their lifecycle.
• Serves as technical Subject Matter Expert to analyze and resolve Data Management and Enterprise Analytics technical issues with available tools in a timely and accurate fashion to continually meet changing metrics requirements and business needs.
• Apply proven communication and problem - solving skills to guide and assist user groups on issues of business intelligence sourcing, reporting, and documentation.
• Coordinate closely with business stakeholders to enable self - service and ensure consistency of data definitions and key business metrics.
• Assure compliance standard policies and data security procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5 + years of experience as a Business Intelligence Specialist, Architect, or Manager.
• 5 + years' experience with data migration practices and integration tools.
• Expertise in enterprise analytics and data warehousing best practices, concepts, and SDLC (Agile a plus).
• Experience with project management fundamentals a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, including an ability to build consensus and discuss complex technical issues with opinionated engineers required.
• Prior experience in data management or BI technical roles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cloud solutions , data modeling, database concepts, and data management.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
• Experience troubleshooting and finding multiple solutions to a complex problem.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
• Experience working within both a team environment and independently.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

The successful candidate will bring expertise with data management and business intelligence technologies and serve as a design and technical Subject Matter Expert on movement of data across transaction systems, extraction of same for use in data warehouse, and exposure in constructs ("universe", "BISM", cube) with the purpose of enabling an enterprise self-service environment at the firm.

They will have experience is staging data for use in reporting and dashboards and have proficiency in an Agile SDLC using MS SQL Server 2014, Informatica, PowerBI, and utilization of web services and other methods for using transaction system API's. This position will be relied upon to maintain awareness of technologies and new solutions as they come in to the market and evaluate relevance for use to support the firm's business strategy.
