Job Role: Senior Data Analyst / Data Governance Specialist (8-10 Years) - Banking Domain

location : Mt. laurel , NJ


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst/Data Governance Specialist with 8-10 years of experience in the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, data governance, data quality, ETL validation, and cloud ingestion workflows (Databricks, Azure). This role involves translating business requirements into technical specifications, performing complex data analysis, and driving governance best practices across cloud and on-prem environments.

Key Responsibilities

Data Governance & Documentation

  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, and data governance documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to security standards across cloud and on-prem data platforms.
  • Create IDCs (Incoming Data Collection) for cloud ingestion covering data sources, frequency, formats, orchestration, and target layers.
ETL / Informatica PowerCenter

  • Translate business needs into functional & technical specifications for PowerCenter mappings, workflows, and transformations.
  • Support design, development, testing, and implementation of Informatica jobs ensuring alignment with business rules.
  • Validate ETL loads, troubleshoot discrepancies, and collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues.
Data Analysis & Data Engineering Support

  • Conduct end-to-end data analysis including source-to-target mapping, data profiling, gap analysis, using SQL and Informatica.
  • Support ingestion and transformation of large datasets using Databricks (PySpark, SQL) and PowerCenter workflows.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of data models, data product lifecycle, and business value across banking systems.
Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure requirements clarity and solution alignment.
  • Provide thought leadership, share best practices, and support cross-training within the team.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability development.
  • Maintain excellent communication on project status, risks, and updates.
Agile & Team Collaboration

  • Work effectively in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and daily standups.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive work environment and act as a brand ambassador for the organization.
