PRIMARY PURPOSE:

To conduct the technical collection, and data validation of all performance metrics required for McAllen ISD's Teacher Incentive Allotment local designation system. Reporting to the Teacher Incentive Allotment Coordinator, the Data Facilitator manages the rigorous disaggregation and processing of complex datasets-including teacher appraisals, student growth measures, and state assessments-to ensure data integrity and compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) and local program guidelines. This role provides differentiated practical support to campus and district leadership, monitors program trends to support instructional goals, and executes high-stakes technical reporting to maximize successful teacher designations across the district.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, required.

Texas Teaching Certificate, preferred.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to analyze data sets, interpret results, and plan a course of action; Communicate effectively (verbal and written); Handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality; Utilize effective interpersonal skills; Demonstrate knowledge of best data stewardship practices to collect, process, maintain, and report on high-stakes data; Broad knowledge of software to analyze and present data; Ability to understand and apply complex program guidelines; Provide differentiated practical support to campus staff; Ability to multitask and meet established deadlines

Experience:

Experience in data analytics or educational performance reporting, required.

Experience in SQL programming, and/or developing, preferred

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Collect, process, maintain, and report on high-stakes TIA program data using data management applications, ensuring all documentation, records, and artifacts are securely retained.
2. Conduct the disaggregation of complex datasets including campus/district benchmarks, student learning objectives (SLOs), and state assessments to identify trends and provide actionable findings for the TIA Coordinator.
3. Take an active role in troubleshooting and resolving district and campus data discrepancies in coordination with district and campus leadership.
4. Research and evaluate the implementation of new software solutions to enhance data collection and analysis capabilities and report findings to the district's TIA Coordinator and district leadership.
5. Identify and report data trends to the TIA Coordinator to support the ongoing tracking and monitoring of district initiatives and program goals.
6. Assist in providing professional development to campuses and district departments regarding data collection, validation protocols, and student growth measures.
7. Provide practical, differentiated support to campus administration and staff regarding the effective use of websites, databases, and digital resources used for monitoring student academic progress and teacher performance.
8. Support the implementation of instructional initiatives, student growth measures, and other processes required for the local designation system.
9. Assist, as needed, with internal and external inquiries regarding the TIA program and keep the TIA Coordinator informed of all program-related directives or requests received.
10. Assist in the monitoring of SLOs and pre/post-tests to support the improvement of instructional practices and the alignment of TIA objectives with campus performance goals.
11. Participate in local, regional, and state professional development trainings and leadership meetings as needed.
12. Demonstrate a loyal, team-oriented approach to District initiatives while upholding McAllen ISD customer service standards and performing other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor in accordance with program funding guidelines.
13. Performing other duties as assigned by the district's TIA Coordinator and/or district leadership in accordance with program funding guidelines.
