Job Type: Full-Time
Clearance Requirement: Secret Clearance

U.S.Citizenship is Required.

Praescient Analytics is seeking a Data Engineer / Systems Architect to support the Washington National Guard's enterprise data integration efforts. This position will transform data within Army Vantage and Advana and establish a secure, relational data foundation within Army 365 (A365) Microsoft Dataverse.

You will develop and sustain backend pipelines, architect data models, enforce access controls, and validate data integrity to support Government teams developing Power Apps and Power BI solutions. This is a hands-on engineering and architecture role focused on backend integration; frontend dashboard development is outside the position's scope.

This employee shall provide services between the hours of 0600 - 1430 (Pacific Time) on Monday through Friday except on recognized US holidays or when the Government facility/installation is closed. Work under this contract shall be performed on a hybrid basis, split between the designated Government facility and approved telework locations (approximately 25% in-person and 75% telework).

Responsibilities:
  • Assess available datasets within Army Vantage and Advana, documenting source structures, data quality, integration dependencies, and gaps.
  • Develop native data transformation pipelines using Palantir Foundry, Databricks, and SQL to cleanse, join, aggregate, and harmonize enterprise data.
  • Engineer and sustain secure, automated API and ETL connections that transfer curated data into A365 Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Design Dataverse tables, primary and foreign keys, and one-to-many and many-to-many relationships optimized for downstream Power Apps and Power BI use.
  • Configure Army-approved system-to-system authentication and scheduled synchronization; monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot integration failures.
  • Implement role-based access controls, row-level and field-level security, and appropriate protection of sensitive data within DoD Impact Level 5 (IL5) environments.
  • Develop automated validation and reconciliation routines to detect missing records, schema discrepancies, failed jobs, and transformation errors.
  • Maintain version-controlled code, transformation logs, data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders and National Guard Bureau working groups to align data models and integration activities with enterprise requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and issue resolution to downstream application developers and document progress, risks, and pipeline health.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of comprehensive experience in enterprise data engineering, cloud architecture, and DoD systems integration.
  • A minimum of a Secret security clearance
  • Demonstrated proficiency in backend data transformation, API pipeline development, and relational database modeling within DoD IL5 environments.
  • Deep, demonstrable hands-on expertise operating natively within all three of the following environments:
    • Army Vantage / Palantir Foundry: Building data pipelines, performing transformations, and working with platform data structures.
    • Advana / Databricks and SQL: Developing queries, transformation logic, joins, aggregations, and data-processing workflows.
    • Microsoft Dataverse / A365: Designing relational schemas, integrating data, configuring access controls, and supporting secure data egress and schema linkage.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex data integration issues and implement repeatable data-quality and validation controls.
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with Government stakeholders and application developers.
  • Ability to meet Government credentialing, platform-access, and applicable cybersecurity workforce qualification requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000.00 to $160,000.00 (annualized USD).
