Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Who You Are:

The Data Engineer is a key member of the Global Data Platforms Team reporting to the Director of IT Data Operations. The Data Engineer will be responsible for building data delivery services that support critical operational and analytical applications for our internal business operations, customers and partners. This individual will play a key role in developing and executing on the Capri data & analytics strategy.

What You'll Do:
  • Prepare, clean, and format analytical datasets for processing and analysis
  • Build and maintain custom ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Become an expert in our datasets, their strengths and weaknesses, and write code to pull and verify data
  • Conduct database feature engineering to support ongoing quantitative research
  • Work with developers to create and deploy systems for anomaly detection.
  • Interface with data scientists, software developers, and other analytics operations staff as needed
  • Serve as a point-of-contact for questions about data structures, definitions, and quality
  • Work directly with Product and Systems Owners to deliver data products in a collaborative environment
  • Design department-wide principles and workflow for data quality management
  • Ensure Business Partner satisfaction with effective and timely delivery


You'll Need to Have:
  • B.S. Computer Science/Engineering/Technology or Statistics/Mathematics or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in Data Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience developing in SQL
  • 3+ years of experience with data profiling and data pipeline development
  • Experience using tools such as Talend, Amazon Glue, and Airflow
  • Experience with Python and R
  • Knowledge of Snowflake
  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Knowledge of data modeling principles
  • Excellent communication skills, including both oral and written
  • Excellent active listening and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task, exercise excellent time management, and meet multiple deadlines

Compensation Range:
110,000.00 - 127,000.00 USD
