Job description

Infosys is seeking Data Engineer. This position's primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Charlotte, NC or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualification.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of experience in Information Technology
• 2 years of experience with Teradata, Oracle, RedShift, Snowflake, Unix, Python and Airflow

Preferred Skills.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Teradata, Oracle, RedShift, Snowflake, Unix Shell Scripting, Python and Airflow Skills. AWS services (EC2, MWAA, S3) experience is an added advantage.
• One Automation, Tidal or MWAA (Airflow) or similar Scheduling Tools experience.
• GitLab, GitHub and Bitbucket experience for versioning.
• Experience in software development life cycle.
• Experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
• Empirical understanding of data systems (BI analytics, data blending, data warehousing, data ETL, etc.) on process automation and standardization.
• Experience to Cable domain with DWBI skill set.
• Exceptional listening, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
