Job Summary
We are seeking a Data Visualization Specialist to analyze and investigate data, develop dashboards and reports, and support data-driven business decisions. The role will focus on Tableau-based data visualization, data quality, web development, and collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver accurate and effective data solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in the design, development, and validation of emerging and ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, and other data products using Tableau as the primary data visualization tool.
• Design and develop intuitive dashboards and data visualization products using Tableau and other business intelligence tools.
• Learn and utilize new data visualization tools such as Looker and Einstein Analytics to analyze results, evaluate performance, and project future trends and needs.
• Champion data visualization processes and procedures across the organization.
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Explore, extract, cleanse, and combine data from multiple sources and systems.
• Continuously improve data quality by developing monitoring tools and issue alerts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, design, and execute end-to-end solutions.
• Investigate new technologies and approaches to improve data pipelines and visualization capabilities.
• Lead dashboard demonstration sessions, develop training materials, and produce dashboard documentation.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional work experience.
• Extensive experience building visualizations and dashboards that effectively communicate insights and tell a story through data.
• Experience working with UI technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, or similar reporting and business intelligence tools.
• Knowledge of information design principles and data visualization methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter attitude.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Demonstrated experience developing data visualization products and supporting data quality initiatives.
• Portfolio demonstrating previous data visualization work and projects.
