Overview

We are looking for seasoned Data Engineer to work with our team and our clients to develop enterprise grade data platforms, services, and pipelines. We are looking for more than just a "Data Engineer", but a technologist with excellent communication and customer service skills and a passion for data and problem solving.

Contributions

  • Be active in leading and architecting a variety of data environments with performance and reliability.
  • Assess and understand the ETL jobs, workflows, BI tools, and analytics reports.
  • Address technical inquiries concerning customization, integration, enterprise architecture and general feature / functionality of data products.
  • Experience in crafting database / data warehouse solutions in the cloud (Preferably GCP Big Query).
  • Key must have skill sets - SQL, GCP.
  • Support an Agile software development lifecycle.
  • You will contribute to the growth of our Data Exploitation Practice!


Qualifications

  • Ability to hold a position of public trust with the US government
  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of overall work experience
  • 3-5 years industry experience coding commercial software and a passion for solving complex problems
  • 3-5 years direct experience in Data Engineering with experience in tools such as:
    • BigQuery, Looker, Looker Studio, and Google Analytics
    • Relational and NoSQL databases, including Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Firestore, and Bigtable
    • Data processing and pipeline technologies, including Compute Engine, Dataproc, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Datastream, and Pub/Sub
    • Elasticsearch/OpenSearch or other enterprise search solutions
    • Object-oriented and scripting languages such as Python, Java, SQL, and Scala
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining batch and real-time ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouse solutions
  • Advanced SQL knowledge, including query authoring, optimization, performance tuning, and complex data analysis
  • Experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets, including data transformation, aggregation, processing, reporting, and extracting actionable insights from multiple data sources
  • Experience with data modeling and architecture, including dimensional modeling, star schemas, medallion architecture, and the design of transactional and analytical data systems
  • Understanding of end-to-end data flows, integrations, and dependencies across applications and platforms
  • Experience with message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable data platforms
  • Experience using Git for source control and version management of data pipelines and data integration solutions
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with developers, analysts, and data scientists to deliver dashboards, reports, analytics, and machine learning solutions
  • LookML experience is a plus
  • Experience with AI/ML data platforms, Agentic AI concepts, or AI-enabled data solutions is a plus

The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $160,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
