Full Job Description
Eaton's Vehicle Group, Royal Power Solutions business is currently seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in Carol Stream IL.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year.

Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. What you'll do:

Position Overview:
The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data systems that support business reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making. This role works closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to integrate data from various sources, optimize data quality, and deliver actionable insights through reporting and visualization tools. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Power BI, Oracle databases, SAP systems, and advanced Excel reporting.

In this role you will:
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data solutions and database structures.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from SAP, Oracle, and other business systems.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support business operations and strategic decision-making.
• Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects within Oracle environments.
• Integrate and manage data from multiple sources to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and performance metrics.
• Develop automated reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Maintain data governance standards, security protocols, and data integrity across platforms.
• Support system upgrades, testing, and implementation efforts involving SAP and Oracle applications.
• Document data processes, reporting standards, and technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues while providing ongoing support to end users.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience with Oracle databases and SQL development (coop/internship experience accepted)
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Azure Data Services, Data Factory, or cloud-based data platforms
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices
• Experience with advanced Power BI administration
• Familiarity with ERP systems and enterprise reporting environments
• Relevant certifications in Power BI, Oracle, SAP, or Data Engineering
• Experience with SAP data structures, reporting, and data extraction processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development and data modeling
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
