Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cost control or analysis for construction or capital projects, particularly in data centers.
• Preferred experience as an owner's representative, focusing on validating contractor cost data and invoices.
• Strong understanding of cost control metrics including commitments, accruals, actual costs, and forecasts (ETC/EAC).
• Demonstrated experience in validating invoices, purchase orders, and change orders while ensuring compliance with cost contracts.
• Proficient with cost management systems like Oracle Unifier or similar, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiar with cost drivers specific to data centers, especially regarding MEP scopes and equipment procurement timelines.
• Excellent attention to detail coupled with effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate contractor budgets, commitments, accruals, and forecasts against owner budgets and contracts.
• Challenge and validate cash flow forecasts from contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate equipment and major MEP procurement tracking to ensure correct cost management.
• Validate and approve invoices, purchase orders, and change orders for contractual compliance.
• Support earned value reporting in collaboration with scheduling teams.
• Reconcile contractor costs with owner systems to maintain accurate records.
• Ensure contractors adhere to cost reporting requirements and hold them accountable for their contractual obligations.
