This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and a solid understanding of business principles. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver who can contribute to both technical projects and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as on a team, a proven communicator who effectively interfaces between technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Technical Engineering & Problem Solving:
  • Apply engineering principles and methodologies to solve complex technical challenges
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and develop effective solutions in a timely manner
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in relevant technologies
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets using Excel and other analytical tools
    • Develop and maintain insightful reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends
    • Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency gains
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, marketing, operations) to achieve common goals.
    • Present technical findings and recommendations to management in a concise and persuasive manner
    • Act as a technical resource and mentor to junior engineers
  • Business Acumen & Strategy:
    • Understand the business implications of engineering decisions and contribute to strategic planning
    • Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve business processes and gain a competitive advantage
    • Participate in cost-benefit analyses and ROI calculations for engineering projects.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and market dynamics
  • Project Management:
    • Develop project plans, track progress, and identify and mitigate risks

Coordinate resources and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Qualifications

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Finance with:
  • 2+ years of experience with:
  1. Engineering principles and methodologies
  2. Working with large datasets using Excel and other analytical tools
  3. Developing and maintaining reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends
  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams
  5. Presenting to management
  6. Developing project plans, tracking progress, and identifying and mitigating risks

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
