Job Description

Overview: The Data Architect reviews and analyzes current data infrastructures, plans future databases, and implements solutions to store, integrate and manage data for the organization and its users. The ideal candidate will design, create, deploy, and manage our data architecture. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to ensure that data strategies align with business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Strategy Development: Collaborate with business leaders to define data strategy, architecture, and governance frameworks.
  • Architecture Design: Design and implement data models, database architectures, and data integration processes to support business applications and reporting.
  • Data Management: Ensure data quality, data governance, integrity, and security across the organization. Implement data management best practices and standards.
  • ETL Processes: Identifies internal and external data sources to establish data pipelines and works with product owners to efficiently retrieve data. Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data ingestion from various sources.
  • Data Warehousing: Design and manage data warehousing solutions to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Data Discovery: Implement data cataloging and metadata management tools to improve data discoverability and usability across the organization
  • Collaboration: Works collaboratively across teams to understand quality and performance improvement agendas and corresponding data and analytics needs and recommends appropriate solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data architecture, data flows, and metadata management.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring scalability and reliability of data solutions. Investigates performance issues with queries and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on data architecture.
  • Support: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to BI Developers for the most complex problems, employing advanced SQL methods and innovative data visualization techniques


Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
