Job Description:
The team sustains a mission-critical system that integrates data, analytics, and organizational processes across multiple regions to ensure a secure, scalable, and efficient platform for case management, trend analysis, and coordinated activities.
This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active U.S. government Secret level security clearance or higher to be considered for this role.
Meaningful Work and Personal Impact
• Serve as a SME for all aspects of data management, recommending improvements and researching solutions
• Apply expert knowledge in data management and Cloud best practices
• Provide technical and management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments
• Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives and supervise others as needed
• Develop and deliver high-quality data systems, reports, analytical products, and features
• Provide O&M support for all existing data systems, including the Enterprise Data Warehouse with multi-source integrations and established extracts
• Develop, support, update, and deliver enterprise reporting through PowerBI dashboards
• Design, develop, maintain, support, and enhance an Enterprise Search application with blended search results, API capabilities, business intelligence functions, and OpenSearch features
• Support AI/ML module development, enhancement, research, and deployment for entity extraction and relationship mapping using unstructured datasets
• Contribute to modernizing the agency's data ecosystem using evolving technology stacks in Cloud and non-Cloud environments
• Provide technical support for research, experimentation, business analysis, and systems technology including architecture, integration, and database management
• Coordinate IT plans and activities with other groups, including software upgrades and installation of new products
• Identify areas where existing policies require change or new procedures are needed
• Adhere to Agile Scrum, Kanban, or other customer-directed methodologies
Work Schedule / Location: Must be willing to work onsite in Fairfax County, VA 3 days a week with 2 days from home.
What You'll Need to Succeed
REQUIRED SKILLS
• BA/BS degree or 4 additional years of equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of experience in data analysis, data migration tools, data modeling, data integration, data warehousing, and database design
• 5+ years addressing data migration/validation, cleanup, mapping, and producing/maintaining data dictionaries
• 5+ years providing technical support in research, experimentation, business analysis, systems architecture, integration, and database management
• 5+ years delivering technical and data leadership to application developers and IT infrastructure teams
• 5+ years coordinating IT plans and activities, including software upgrades and new product installations
• 5+ years identifying required changes to policies or procedures, including for future business expansion

The likely salary range for this position is $164,382 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
