Summary:
The Data Architect will serve as a SME on all aspects of data management; makes recommendations for improvements; researches solutions; leads using data management and Cloud best practices.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Designs and builds relational databases, data warehouses, and/or data-marts for storage, processing, and/or decision support.
- Develops strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition, and archive recovery.
- Implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware, or other technologies.
- Defines user interfaces and functional specifications.
- Responsible for verifying accuracy of data, and the maintenance and support of the data warehouse.
- Cleans and maintains the database by removing and deleting old data.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to plan and deliver technical solutions independently.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years’ experience with data analysis, data migration tools, data modelling, data integration, data warehousing and database design.
- 5+ years’ experience in addressing issues of data migration/validation, clean-up and mapping, and shall produce and maintain the data dictionaries.
- 5+ years’ experience with providing technical support in the research, experimentation, business analysis, and use of systems technology, including architecture, integration capabilities, and database management.
- 5+ years’ experience with providing technical and data leadership for the application developers and the IT infrastructure, being conversant with and cognizant of the future direction of systems, how that direction will impact enterprise, and how future and current systems can be exploited for the benefit of the enterprise.
- 5+ years’ experience working closely with other IT groups to coordinate current and future IT plans and activities, including coordination and technical assistance to facilitate specific development projects that involve the computing environment, the coordination of software upgrades, and the installation of new products.
- 5+ years’ experience with recognizing and identifying potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
- Must have a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Pay and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $221,000 to $276,000 annually.
