Job Responsibilities

Designs, implements, and governs enterprise data architecture, data models, and system integration patterns to support agency-wide applications, analytics, and operational systems.

Establishes and enforces enterprise standards for documenting system integrations, interfaces, data flows, data models, and dependencies, ensuring documentation is accurate, current, and consistently applied across agency systems.

Provides strategic direction for the Agency's data governance program, including policies, standards, roles, and processes related to data quality, stewardship, metadata, security, and lifecycle management.

Manages and supervises the data management team and the Data Governance Program Manager, including setting priorities, assigning work, evaluating performance, and supporting staff development.

Develops and enforces enterprise data standards, architectural guidelines, and governance procedures to ensure consistency, interoperability, and compliance with state IT policies, security requirements, and applicable regulations.

Works collaboratively with executive leadership, IT leadership, and business stakeholders to align data architecture and governance initiatives with agency goals and to provide expert guidance on data-related decisions.

Leads strategic planning for data architecture and governance capabilities, evaluates emerging technologies and best practices, and drives continuous improvement in the Agency's data management maturity. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in systems development and maintenance, technical support, or the support of complex database management systems, or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.

The physical demands for the essential functions includes sitting or standing at a desk for an extended periods and working on a computer. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. May be required to work outside normal business hours.
