About the role:

The Engineering Data & Security Manager is responsible for leading the Engineering Data Team (EDT), Product Variant Center (PVC), Asset Management Coordination (AMC), Information Security Professional (ISP), Product & Solution Security Expert (PSSE), and Building / Physical Security functions within the MF-O Factory Engineering organization.

This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of engineering and manufacturing data within enterprise systems, primarily SAP and Teamcenter, while also supporting secure and compliant manufacturing operations through cybersecurity, product security, asset management, and physical security leadership.

The position plays a critical role in enabling efficient production, accurate costing, reliable product configuration, compliant product lifecycle management, secure IT/OT operations, and effective protection of people, facilities, assets, information, and intellectual property.

What will you do?
  • Lead and develop the Engineering Data & Security team, including EDT, PVC, AMC, ISP, PSSE, and Building / Physical Security responsibilities
  • Establish team priorities, resource plans, performance expectations, workload balance, and development plans in alignment with the Head of Factory Engineering
  • Own and maintain the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of engineering and manufacturing data within SAP, Teamcenter, and related enterprise systems
  • Oversee engineering data management activities, including creating and maintaining BOMs and MBOMs, developing routings and production master data, managing material and product master data, supporting PMD updates, and troubleshooting SAP, Teamcenter, BOM, routing, master data, variant configuration, info record, and production data issues
  • Lead Product Variant Center activities for customer-specific product configuration and customization requests
  • Ensure customer-specific product solutions are reviewed for feasibility, manufacturability, cost impact, regulatory compliance, documentation completeness, and implementation readiness
  • Oversee creation and maintenance of product variant documentation, including engineering drawings, BOMs, MBOMs, routings, and supporting technical documentation
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering change, product transfer, and manufacturing change initiatives involving engineering data, product configuration, routing, and documentation updates
  • Lead Asset Management Coordination activities for OT assets, manufacturing equipment, software applications, infrastructure components, and related documentation
  • Ensure asset lifecycle activities are maintained from procurement through operation, maintenance, compliance review, and decommissioning
  • Maintain asset data quality in asset management systems and CMDBs, including ownership, classification, usage, technical architecture, interfaces, lifecycle status, contracts, licenses, and maintenance information
  • Coordinate asset-related risk identification, remediation, mitigation, documentation, and escalation activities
  • Lead site-level Information Security Program activities for IT/OT assets within the area of responsibility
  • Drive secure setup, management, and operation of IT/OT assets, including protection concepts, access management, patch management, vulnerability management, exception handling, and security awareness
  • Ensure compliance with applicable IT/OT security regulations, corporate cybersecurity policies, security requirements, and internal processes
  • Lead Product & Solution Security activities in cooperation with applicable Product & Solution Security stakeholders and engineering teams
  • Support implementation of product and solution security requirements in engineering, manufacturing, secure manufacturing, project integration, testing, and lifecycle processes
  • Coordinate product security risk reviews, mitigation actions, documentation, training, and continuous improvement activities
  • Lead Building / Physical Security coordination for the site, including access control, visitor management, CCTV, alarm systems, key control, physical security procedures, physical security audits, and incident follow-up
  • Serve as a key Factory Engineering interface to Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, IT, Product Management, Procurement, Corporate Cybersecurity, Corporate Security, Facilities, Compliance, and external service providers
  • Develop and maintain departmental standards, work instructions, KPIs, dashboards, audit readiness, and continuous improvement plans
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering data, product configuration, asset management, cybersecurity, product security, and physical security processes

What will you need to succeed?
  • Bachelor's degree or technical degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Progressive experience in manufacturing, engineered products, industrial automation, engineering systems, cybersecurity, asset management, or a related technical environment
  • Experience leading technical, engineering support, data management, product configuration, cybersecurity, asset management, or cross-functional operational teams
  • Strong hands-on understanding of SAP in a manufacturing or engineered product environment
  • Strong experience with product structures, BOMs, routings, material masters, production data, engineering changes, and configuration logic
  • Working knowledge of Teamcenter or comparable PLM systems is preferred
  • Experience with IT/OT security, product security, asset management, physical security, or manufacturing systems compliance is preferred
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, stakeholders, audits, improvement initiatives, and deadline-driven deliverables

Technical Skills
  • Advanced SAP knowledge, including engineering and manufacturing master data, BOMs, routings, material masters, product master data, and variant configuration
  • Working knowledge of Teamcenter or comparable PLM systems
  • Strong understanding of data structures and system integration between PLM, ERP, manufacturing systems, and asset management platforms
  • Knowledge of engineering change management, product lifecycle management, product configuration, and manufacturing documentation processes
  • Understanding of IT/OT assets, manufacturing applications, software asset management, CMDBs, lifecycle management, vulnerability management, and patch management
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, access management, network security concepts, security exception handling, and compliance requirements
  • Understanding of Product & Solution Security concepts, including secure manufacturing, secure project integration, security testing, and lifecycle security requirements
  • Knowledge of physical security systems such as access control, CCTV, alarm systems, visitor management, and key control
  • Experience with data reporting, KPI tracking, audit preparation, process documentation, and continuous improvement methodologies
