Reporting to the Data Engineering & Analytics Manager, the
Data Analytics Specialist is responsible for
collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data that drives informed decisions for our digital products. In this role, you'll build and maintain data visualization tools, contribute to data governance practices, and help translate complex datasets into clear, decision-ready insights. You'll work closely with data engineers, software developers, and cross-functional leaders to ensure our digital initiatives are grounded in reliable, accurate data. Success in this role means delivering consistent, trusted reporting on digital product KPIs and contributing to a well-governed data environment.
This position is part of the Data Engineering & Analytics
located in Canadaand will be remote (Hours will be EST Time zone). Ability to travel to London, Ontario, Canada a few times per year for onsite team meetings/events.
In this role, a typical day will look like: - Analyze structured and unstructured data including customer interactions, UV system operations, and service opportunities to surface actionable insights that inform digital product decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and reports using tools such as Power BI to support digital product development and track the performance of Digital Innovation KPIs, including Stream.
- Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and technical team members to translate raw data into clear, decision-ready recommendations that drive measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional data insight initiatives to align analytical outputs with business priorities and digital strategy across the organization.
- Design and maintain data libraries, documentation, and metadata structures across platforms such as SharePoint and Confluence to support consistent data governance and discoverability.
- Ensure data integrity, version control, and access permissions are consistently applied through regular audits and validation processes.
- Support team members and stakeholders in accessing data efficiently, responsibly, and securely to enable self-service analytics and informed decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows, improve data accessibility, and implement process countermeasures where KPI performance requires corrective action.
The essential requirements of the job include: - Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Science, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting using SQL, statistics, and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Snowflake or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience developing dashboards, data documentation, AI agents, and SQL queries to deliver actionable business insights.
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data, including time-series data cleansing, processing, and validation.
- Experience managing data in platforms such as SharePoint, Confluence, or equivalent database environments.
The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $72,000 to 92,000 CAD/year. This job is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, health insurance and RSP to eligible employees.
