ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking an experienced Data Analytics Lead who will become part of Peraton’s Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes.
Location: Rosslyn, VA.
In this role, you will integrate and operationalize cybersecurity data, shape future data models, and lead data enablement efforts across the mission. You will guide both technical and analytical teams to ensure data excellence, secure infrastructure development, and effective data management practices.
Your day-to-day may include advising analysts on infrastructure and platform development, meeting with analytical branches to design data management best practices, and driving strategic initiatives that support the mission’s cyber operations.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and mentor the Cyber Data Analytics team, promoting continuous growth, skill development, and consistent value delivery.
- In partnership with the Data Architect, direct the collection, storage, and management of large cybersecurity datasets while ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with Department stakeholders to maintain the secure handling and management of cyber datasets.
- Ensure data hygiene, accuracy, and efficiency in data retrieval and analysis.
- Establish and oversee data governance practices for cybersecurity analytics.
- Lead initiatives focused on improving data quality, optimization, and processing efficiency.
- Provide guidance toward the implementation and enhancement of cloud-based cyber analytics platforms and tools.
- Ensure smooth integration of cloud solutions with existing cybersecurity tools and data infrastructures.
- Develop and implement strategic direction for the cyber data management domain, aligning efforts to organizational and cybersecurity goals.
- Work with vendors and third-party partners to enhance tool capabilities and resolve technical challenges.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 14 years’ experience required.
- An additional 4 years will be considered in lieu of degree/education.
- Knowledge of Cribl, Splunk, Data Bricks and Tableau.
- Experience in Cyber Analytics, XDR, and Cloud Data Management.
- Possess and maintain one of the following certifications:
- CASP+ CE, CCISO, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, GSLC, or SCYBER
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- The ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.
Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
