Job Description:

J&J MedTech Electrophysiology (JJMT EP) is recruiting for a Data Analytics & Dashboard Developer. This position is located in Irvine, CA and will work on a hybrid schedule, within the office 2 - 3 days a week.

Job Summary:

The Governance Analytics & Dashboard Developer will support the design, development, operationalization, and validation of intuitive dashboard, analytics, and user experience solutions that provide secure, governed access to trusted enterprise data assets. This role will enable collaborators to discover, interpret, and act on curated data and analytical insights through scalable, compliant, and user-centered experiences that align with data governance, quality, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, analytics applications, and user interfaces that provide secure, governed access to trusted data assets.
  • Integrate dashboards and applications with enterprise data platforms, APIs, metadata repositories, and governance technologies to enable access to curated data products.
  • Incorporate data governance, quality, lineage, privacy, and regulatory requirements into the design and delivery of analytical applications and user experiences.
  • Build governance dashboards and monitoring solutions that support implementation of data usage policies, stewardship activities, data quality, metadata management, lineage, and controls.
  • Create intuitive data tools and services that enable the medical safety team to act on analytical insights from data across domains.
  • Develop dashboard workflows supporting drill-down analysis by product, geography, time period, event type, clinical study, procedure, and other critical business dimensions.
  • Ensure dashboards are scalable, performant, and aligned with enterprise standards for usability and accessibility.
  • Support data quality, lineage, metadata management, and business glossary initiatives.
  • Drive adoption and data literacy through collaborator engagement, training, documentation, and communication.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • At least 3 year's experience developing dashboards, business intelligence applications, analytical tools, or data visualization solutions.
  • Ability to translate requirements into analytical and visualization solutions.
  • Experience working with modern BI and visualization platforms such as RShiny, Tableau or similar technologies
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata, and data management principles.
  • Experience translating business requirements into scalable reporting, self-service analytics, and decision-support solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with business, technical, and compliance team members to translate governance requirements into scalable operational processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to multi-functional customers.


Preferred:

  • Healthcare, MedTech, or Regulated Environment Analytics: Knowledge of clinical, medical safety, quality, regulatory, or post-market surveillance data and associated compliance requirements.
  • Governance Metrics & Data Stewardship Reporting: Experience building dashboards that monitor governance adoption, data quality performance, stewardship activities, metadata completeness, and policy compliance.
  • Data Storytelling & Adoption Enablement: Ability to communicate insights through compelling visualizations, training materials, documentation, and collaborator engagement initiatives that promote data literacy and adoption.
  • Familiarity with data catalog, metadata management, data quality, access management, workflow automation, dashboarding, or analytics platforms.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$79,000.00 - $127,650.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation -120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave - 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave - 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off - 80 hours per calendar year
