What you will do
• Lead collaboration with stakeholders to understand complex business challenges and structure robust analytical solutions.
• Use Excel, VBA, macros, and Power BI to analyze and interpret data, automate processes, and deliver impactful insights.
• Oversee preparation and organization of internal and external datasets for analysis and reporting.
• Develop dashboards and executive-level reports that inform business strategy and drive continuous improvement.
• Communicate findings and recommendations in clear, business-friendly language, connecting numbers to actionable strategic decisions.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and direction to junior analysts and help set team standards for best practices in financial analysis.
• Steer and support cross-functional projects with colleagues in Canada and abroad as business needs evolve.
• Participate in continuous learning and development and champion knowledge sharing within a collaborative team environment.
• Contribute to team goals and adapt to changing priorities as we build and refine our team's objectives.
Job Qualifications - What you bring to the table
Basic:
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or Mathematics and 5 or more years of experience in transforming data for use in the business analysis area
OR
• Masters Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or Mathematics and 3 or more years of experience in transforming data for use in the business analysis area
OR
• PhD in Computer Science, Statistics or Mathematics and O or more years of experience in transforming data for use in the business analysis area
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering (Master's degree or MBA is an asset)
• Experience in Personal Lines insurance environment
• Advanced analytical and strategic problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership
• Curiosity and business acumen, with a passion for making sense of numbers and driving business outcomes
• Collaborative mindset and proven experience in team leadership or mentorship
• Proficient in Excel, VBA, macros; advanced Power BI proficiency preferred
• Knowledge of Python or coding languages is an asset
• Experience with dashboard/report development for executive stakeholders
• Demonstrated adaptability and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

The salary range for this position is $110,0000 to $170,000. This range reflects the expected pay for the role across Canada and may vary depending on factors like office location, specific responsibilities, and individual qualifications. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable compensation range, but starting salaries may exceed this range based on a candidate's skills and experience.
