What You Will Be Doing:
The selected candidate will perform data analysis in support of F-35 Sustainment and will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to develop immersive stories that answer business questions. Using proven and sound statistical methods, the analyst draws insights from data, and translates those insights into action that drive business results. Data Analysts are extremely resourceful and able to find novel new data sources to enrich their analysis. They apply mathematical and statistical methods to business and risk management problems.
- Work as a technical lead in performing analysis to establish data sets that would be used to perform sustainment modeling activities.
- Support and lead coordination and development of problem statements, modeling approaches and ground rules and assumptions (GR&A).
- Program management of key tasks and resources to achieve cost and schedule.
- Mine, process, and summarize data.
- Manage the quality assurance of data scraping, query databases for stakeholder requests, and triage data quality issues for timely resolutions.
- Analyze large datasets, draw valid inferences and prepare insights in narrative or visual forms, including dashboards.
- Analyze fielded performance developing solutions to assigned problems for the purpose of forecasting, root cause analysis, evaluation of potential solutions, and assessment of corrective actions.
- Set up and maintain data processes and new analytics capabilities.
- Develop AI/ML/Automation solutions.
- Produce and track key performance indicators.
- Ability to formulate functional and technical requirements from business problems.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, etc.) Physics, Data Science, Data Analysis, or Mathematics (use of stochastic and deterministic data models) or related technical disciplines with an emphasis in modeling, data manipulation, and/or the application of mathematical and statistical methods to apply to business and risk management problems.
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance to perform job duties.
- Knowledge of scripting (one or more common languages e.g., Python, R, SQL,) and data visualization (e.g., Tableau).
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and/or Automation.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of system databases, data elements, data structures and hierarchies, and/or application software solutions to optimize data gathering/analysis and improve data quality.
Desired skills
- Ability to interact with the customer as the subject matter expert to present and work through data issues and discrepancies.
- Knowledge of the SAFe agile framework environment and in a product owner support role.
- Ability to define technical solutions against business opportunities.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of project management skills.
- Experience with data systems associated SAP or equivalent ERP system, aircraft fielded demand data (ALIS/ODIN) or engineering failure source data (FRACAS) as a data sources for system optimization.
- Experience deconstructing complex operations into component data problems for distributed work across teams.
- Experience with readiness based sparing models, multi-echelon, multi indentured for aircraft or defense supply chain systems.
- Experience with application of scientific methods for testing and debugging, problem resolution, root-cause analysis.
- Experienced in data structures and hierarchies.
- Experience with part configurations, including part attribute data, data structures, and hierarchies.
- Experience collecting and compiling datasets from disparate data sources into the required data structure.
- Ability to perform analysis via multi-criteria decision modeling including discrete event simulations, statistical & risk analysis, life-cycle cost analysis, performance & cost trade-offs, and business case analysis.
- Proficiency with MS Office tool suite.
- Experience managing data quality and configuration control.
- Experience analyzing supply chain networks.
- Analytical skills and understanding of system databases, data elements and application software solutions to optimize data gathering and analysis.
- Experience with reconciling disparate datasets, demand forecasting, inventory optimization and/or supply planning methods.
- Experience with large datasets, modeling and forecasting.
Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
