Full Job Description
As a Data Analyst, you support business operations by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to provide clear and actionable insights. You'll be the person who turns SendCutSend's production, sales, and operations data into answers people can actually act on. You will conduct your own deep dives to answer questions like "Is our Pricing Correct?" or "Is this the correct shipping promise?" You'll build and maintain reporting that tracks how parts move through our facilities, and where the business is winning or losing time or money. You'll work closely with Operations, Sales, Finance, and Engineering to answer questions with data instead of guesswork, and to build dashboards and models that hold up under real day-to-day use, not just in a demo.

What you'll do
  • Analyze pricing, material usage, and lead time data to support decisions on capacity planning and process improvement
  • Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports covering production throughput, pricing, and fulfillment across our facilities
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into clear analyses, and translate analyses back into plain-language recommendations
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to identify bottlenecks in manufacturing workflows using cycle time, capacity, and quality data
  • Pull, clean, and validate data from production database and other internal systems so reporting is actionable, accurate, and repeatable
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to support recurring reporting needs and one-off requests from leadership
  • Document data definitions, report logic, and data sources so reporting stays consistent as the business scales
  • Identify data quality issues at the source and work with system owners to fix them rather than patching around them
  • Identify, collect, clean, validate, and organize data from production databases and other internal systems to ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, actionable, and repeatable
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or reporting role
  • Proficient SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, and common table expressions, sufficient to query production databases directly
  • Data visualization for communicating insights and reporting results, such as in a live dashboard
  • Comfortable working in Excel or Google Sheets at an advanced level (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling)
  • Ability to explain technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with manufacturing, e-commerce, or logistics data (production, inventory, order fulfillment)
  • Familiarity with AI, Python or R for data cleaning and analysis
  • Experience building dashboards or reports in a BI tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (statistics, economics, engineering, data science, or similar), or equivalent practical experience

Essential Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to move throughout an office environment as needed

Work Environment
  • This role is based onsite in Reno, Nevada in a collaborative engineering and operations environment.
  • The position requires regular communication with cross-functional teams and occasional interaction with production personnel.

Benefits
  • Health, Vision & Dental Insurance
  • 401(k) match up to 4%
  • Paid time off
  • 6 Company-Paid Holidays
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Short-Term Disability
  • Lunch Provided Daily
  • Employee Discounts!
  • Flexible Schedule for Work/Life Balance

This role is accepting applications until Saturday, September 19th at 9:00 AM PST.
