The Data Analyst II performs under the direction and supervision of our attorneys. The Analyst should strive to provide high-quality billable work for the benefit of our clients and the support of our attorneys. The ideal Data Analyst II candidate will bring a high level of expertise in assisting clients and attorneys while managing a busy case and/or matter load.
Key Responsibilities- Continually partner with all interested parties involved to ensure data is handled sensitively and securely.
- Work with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to interpret data and provide alternate formats and insights.
- Have the skills to be able to write to and verbally communicate with HR and legal professionals at Fortune 500 companies.
- Provide support to attorneys during mediations, depositions, and trials with accurate and clear summaries of the data findings.
- Collaborate with other team members, attorneys, paralegals and class action attorneys on a variety of projects.
- Analyze timekeeping, payroll, and HRIS information for the purpose of providing insights needed to generate broad class action damages estimates.
- Create and manipulate spreadsheets to analyze business data.
- Clean, aggregate, and transform a variety of data into Excel format for analysis.
- Perform general Excel work beyond the capability of an admin or word processor.
- Analyze payroll and time data to determine if wages were appropriately disbursed.
- Interpret client data to identify statistical trends through data aggregation, sorting, and statistical analyses.
- Perform statistical estimation and testing for adverse impact in employer hiring, promotion and termination processes.
- Perform linear and logistic regression modeling and hypothesis testing used in preventative pay equity reviews.
- Work with client's data to identify statistical trends in employer selection.
- Design Draft Damage Models to report overall liability in class action legal matters.
- Design reports and use different software like Excel, R, and Python to provide damages scenarios for specific class claims.
- Manage personal deadlines and ensure project steps are completed and progressed in a timely fashion.
Requirements - Bachelor's Degree required.
- 3+ Years Data Analyst experience OR 2+ Years Labor & Employment analysis experience.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; and superior with Microsoft Office Professional Suite.
- Experience with R, Python, and/or VBA preferred.
- Familiarity with Employment Law is preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll and HRIS systems our clients use preferred.
- Be extremely efficient, organized and resourceful.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects, from start to finish, with shifting priority levels.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with routine billable time and cost capturing for analysis performed.
- Be consistently at work and on time; arrive at meetings and appointments on time; ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent.

- Analysts are expected to record at least 1,500 billable hours during the performance year, which runs from October 1st through September 30th.
- Analysts do not render legal advice to a client, ever.
The hourly rate range for this position is $31.65 - $52.75. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
