Summary of Role/Position
CarParts.com, Inc. is seeking an exceptional Data Analyst with strong experience in data analysis, coding, and visualization, and the ability to transform data into actionable insights that drive business outcomes. In this role, you will leverage data to solve complex challenges across pricing, sales, and supply chain by applying analytical, statistical, and computational approaches. As part of the Data Science team, you will contribute to ETL design, assist in building ML and computational models, and develop automated reporting solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for e-commerce and supply chain projects, with an emphasis on pricing strategy to maximize sales and margin , and thrives in a collaborative environment, working with stakeholders across multiple domains.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and monitor pricing strategies to optimize key business metrics including gross margin, revenue, and competitiveness.
- Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, and Product teams to identify pricing opportunities, risks, and performance gaps
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven solutions.
- Leverage PySpark and SQL to process and unify large datasets from multiple sources.
- Design, implement, and monitor pricing strategies to optimize key business metrics including gross margin, revenue, and competitiveness
- Design and optimize ETL pipelines for reporting and analytics.
- Apply strong coding skills and analytical thinking to develop scalable solutions.
- Analyze transaction-level data to optimize VCM, improve pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, and Product teams to identify pricing opportunities, risks, and performance gaps
- Conduct deep-dive analysis intosale,freight costs, shipping patterns, and operational KPIs to recommend improvements.
- Communicate complex analysesand technical solutions in a clear, business-friendly manner.
Minimal Requirements
- 1+ years of full-time experience in adata-focused role.
- Bachelor's degree in aquantitative field(e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics).
- Strong proficiency inPythonwith experience inApache Spark.
- Solid hands-on experience withSQLfor large-scale data manipulation.
- Experience designingautomated reports and visualizations.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data analysis tocost optimization and profitability improvement.
Preferred Experience
- Master's or PhD in Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Business, or another quantitative field.
- Prior experience ine-commerce, retail, or supply chain optimization.
- Familiarity withDatabricksand cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience workingwithprice elasticity modeling, competitive pricing analysis, or promotional optimization
A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position based on job experience, education level, global geographic region, etc: $80,000-$90,000
