Data Analyst

The Opportunity:

As a Data Analyst, you enjoy diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges.

As a client-facing data analyst on our team, you’ll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, Agile environment. You’ll use your knowledge in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. You will also work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, but you’ll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to impact missions.

You Have:

  • Experience with data visualization techniques and tools, including Power BI, Tableau or Microsoft Fabric, and Spark or PySpark for data analysis

  • Experience with structured data using tools, including SQL, R, or Python programming languages, data visualization software, and statistical analysis

  • Experience analyzing data sets to spot trends and patterns that can be translated into actionable insights

  • Experience with statistics and statistical software, including Excel

  • Experience in data validation and cleaning to ensure the quality and integrity of data

  • Knowledge of automation and how to tighten work processes into a true flow

  • Knowledge of how to apply statistical analysis techniques to large datasets

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience developing Microsoft 365 power applications

  • Experience with development in Maven Smart System (MSS)

  • Experience with agile methodologies

  • Experience with working on real-time data and streaming applications

  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and tools

  • Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of IoT and sensor data into usable formats

  • Ability to communicate technical information and recommendations to peers, engineers, and analytic customers

  • Master's degree

  • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
