Full Job Description
Duties include but not limited to:

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards that support acquisition management, budget execution, and organizational reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders to gather business requirements, define reporting needs, and translate functional requirements into effective dashboard solutions.
  • Develop dashboards that provide comprehensive visibility into the full acquisition lifecycle, including contract initiation, solicitation, award, modifications, performance, and closeout activities.
  • Develop budget dashboards that track spend plans, commitments, obligations, expenditures, forecasts, variances, and other financial management metrics to support planning, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources-including contract management systems, financial systems, HR systems, and spreadsheets-and develop automated data pipelines to ensure accurate daily dashboard refreshes.
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure dashboard data is complete, accurate, and reliable.
  • Design intuitive dashboard layouts with interactive filters, parameters, drill-down capabilities, and visualizations that enhance the user experience and support stakeholder decision-making.
  • Support program and project financial management activities by developing reporting that enables budget planning, tracking, earned value management, cost-benefit analysis, benefits realization, OMB Exhibit 300 documentation, and RAP/PART reporting.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), incorporating stakeholder feedback to ensure dashboard functionality, performance, and accuracy.
  • Publish and maintain dashboards within Tableau Server or Tableau Online, managing user access, security permissions, technical documentation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Monitor dashboard performance, troubleshoot data refresh issues, implement enhancements, and continuously improve dashboard functionality based on evolving business requirements and Tableau best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent professional experience from a relevant field.
  • Minimum 2.5 years experience leading data-driven decision making within a team, determining how to visualize data to address both exploratory data analysis and analytic presentation needs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Suitability clearance or higher (requires US Citizenship)
  • Developed domain expertise in data science, statistical analysis, and data visualization, and demonstrated experience developing acquisition, human resources, and budget-related dashboards to support financial analysis, procurement tracking, and resource allocation.
  • Tableau Dashboard Developer requires relevant experience in the following areas
    • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards and visualizations.
    • Experience working with databases, data warehouses, and integrating multiple data sources (e.g., SQL, Excel, APIs).
    • Experience with business intelligence tools and reporting, including requirements gathering, data modeling, and KPI development.
    • Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to prepare and clean data for dashboard use.
    • Experience collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver actionable insights.
    • Experience validating dashboard accuracy, conducting user acceptance testing, and troubleshooting issues.
    • Experience documenting dashboard features, data sources, and maintenance procedures, and maintaining dashboards for ongoing use.
    • Experience implementing user access controls and data security protocols in Tableau Server or Tableau Online.
    • To perform the requirement satisfactorily, the Tableau Dashboard Developer will need the ability to fluently read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing acquisition and budget-related dashboards, including financial analysis, procurement tracking, and resource allocation is preferred.
  • Experience integrating and visualizing data from multiple sources, including financial and acquisition systems is preferred.
  • Tableau certification(s), such as Tableau Desktop Specialist or Tableau Certified Data Analyst, are preferred.
  • Experience with other business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik) is preferred.

Overview

The expected salary range for this position is between $69,000 and $105,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
